When you go out online and search for ways to make money, there are so many people that share their negative thoughts about the mlm industry. They simply state that it is a waste of time and money. What some people fail to do is think for themselves and decide for themselves what is a myth and what is not instead of listening to others.

Don’t think of failing as a bad thing. When you fail, you learn. Learning is powerful!
5. Training and Education
When you get a new job, doesn’t someone have to show you what to do? Not many people can walk into a job and know exactly what to do right off the bat. I have been on Facebook for awhile now and have met so many awesome people that are network marketers. It is amazing how much you can learn from others! Facebook is turning into a great way to generate leads in assist in the network marketing recruiting process. A lot of people use facebook the wrong way and are actually started to get people very annoyed.
When started out on Facebook, you typically don’t have many friends, so we need to find some. To start, you will want to join a couple groups that have something to do with network marketing. When you join these groups, not only will you find people to be your friend, but people will also find you and ask to be your friend.
Now, there is a right way of asking for friendship and a wrong way. The right way is no add a personal message to your new friend. Saying something like. Hey Bob, I saw you in the MLM group and thought we could connect on Facebook. Looking forward to getting to know you better! Have a great day. The wrong way would be to just send the friend request, with no message. This is almost like spamming. You want to connect with people and get to know them and have them get to know you and trust you. Remember, trust will bring in sales!
The absolute worst you could do is send a personal message (while requesting friendship) asking people to join your business and telling people how great your business is. If someone did that to me, I would accept their friendship. My goal would then be to help educate them on marketing etiquette, but I would not even think of joining their business or even looking at the person’s profile. That is almost like calling a purchased lead and asking right away to join your business without getting to know them first. It just doesn’t work!
So, now that we have friends on Facebook, we want to interact with them. On the home page we see people comments and we just want to start interacting with them. Make comments when needed. “Like” something. I know that when someone comments or likes what I have to say, I usually look at their profile. When people like your comments and they are not friends with you, they are more likely to ask you to be their friend.
The whole point of facebook is to add value, educate, and build a reputation of trust and helpfulness if you give the opposite, people will ignore you and certainly not buy anything that you have to offer. If someone were really interested in succeeding in MLM, whom would they choose as a mentor, one that is helpful, educates, and entertains, or one that just is out their selling their business opp? The more you give out to the community, the more you will get back. People will just be attracted to you and not run away, like calling a cold lead.

When you do this, people will view your profile, they start learning about the real you. People will learn that they have more in common with you, then just network marketing. When people get to know you, it builds trust. If it were me, I would rather do business with someone I trust and know a little bit about than someone that I don’t know anything about.
People like to talk and pass along information. If I ate at a really good restaurant, I would tell my friends. The same rule applies here. If I create some information that people like and enjoy, they will tell their friends, this gets your name out into the community and your reputation builds in a positive light.
You want to promote YOURSELF, not your biz opp! The worst thing you could do is come off like a salesperson, pushing your product or opportunity. No one likes to be sold. This is such a big turn off and people will just flat out ignore you and what you have to say. This is just like calling a cold lead and asking them to join your business without even getting to know them first.
The key is for people to view your profile, from here they not only get to know you better. If they start liking and trusting you, curiosity will build and they will be wondering what that URL link on your profile is all about and they will be more apt to click on the website. Video Marketing is hot right now. At the time of writing this article, Youtube is the #4 visited site all over the web. Many people use Youtube as a search engine, I know I have! Being able to see someone and listen to their voice, is more personal then reading text on a page. If you are promoting a network marketing business, this is a great way for the prospects to get to know you without having to pick up the phone. Create curiosity and a catchy title – You want to make the viewer want to see the video.
Always brand your video – People are very quick to borrow your video, and use it as their own, so make sure it contains your website address for the duration of the video. This way, if people steal it. You have free advertising!
You can not use the same exact video twice. Youtube will not allow it. You can use the same video if you make slight modifications…like removing a slide or adding a slide. It is worth making those modifications, if you have more than 1 keyword that fits with your video.
For Example: If you have a video about generating leads online, you can make slight modifications and make 3 videos and use the following 3 keywords: Home based business leads, Free mlm leads, Generating leads online
Do Keyword Research – No point in spending the time to make a video if no one can find it.
Keywords – Use the keyword in your title, description, and tags sections.
URL – If you are promoting a website, make sure it is the first thing listed in the description. This will make it easier for people to click on the link instead of people having to copy the URL and paste it into another browser. Don’t forget the http:// before the www – this will make your URL a hyperlink.
You tube only let’s you create videos under 10 minutes. If you have a video over 10 minutes, you can use viddler.com
Your video does not have to be perfect! Content and how you communicate is the most important part, not your production!

It will also show you how many ezinearticles.com articles were written in a given keyword. Finding less competitive keywords will increase your chances on getting on the first page of Google.

I have read many books by Robert Kiyosaki. After reading them, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. The number 1 reason I wanted to become my own boss was I wanted to write my paycheck. I had a great corporate job and made a great income but, it still wasn’t paying the bills (having 3 kids in daycare is quite expensive). I was tired of working so hard and I felt that I was not earning what I was worth. I worked overtime, overnight, weekends, and whenever I was needed. I didn’t mind because I enjoyed working, but I was still struggling financially.
After searching of ways to make money online, I found network marketing and after struggling for a bit, I did make a good income. Network marketing focuses a lot on personal development, so that led me to read the book, “Why We Want You To Be Rich” by Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump. Robert and Donald speak about how people should take control of their financial future and not rely on government programs, like social security.
So, to do this, they recommend becoming self-employed. The problem is, that a majority of people don’t have the funds to buy a big name franchise and they don’t want to deal with employees and all of the other headaches running a business like that. Network marketing is a great option to consider as it requires minimum investment. you don’t need any employees, and you can work from the comfort of your own home.
Toward the end of the book, I was happy to read that Robert Kiyosaki recommends network marketing for those that want to change from an employee to an entrepreneur. He says, that in network marketing it is easy to get the necessary skills and training to be successful, but you need to find a company that has a great training program. He recommends focusing less on the products and compensation plan and more on personal development program the company offers.
Very few companies have a proven system in place to allow the new entrepreneur to hit the ground running, instead of having build a new system. So he recommends finding a network marking company that already has a system in place. Most people start a network marketing business while still working a fulltime job. This would make their time to devote to a new business limited. Getting involved with a company that helps the new entrepreneur build their business would be ideal.
If people want to change their financial state, then need to take that action to change it. It is time for people to take control of their finances and live the life that they want to live, so they can stop struggling and enjoy their life.
