When you first create your wordpress blog it doesn’t come with any plugins. It is up to you to select those that fit you and what you are trying to accomplish. There are thousands upon thousands of plugins that you can add to your wordpress blog. It can be extremely overwhelming trying to decide which ones are needed and which ones are just for fun.
I have created 3 lists of plugins, that I feel are crucial and apply to everybody:

- Aksimet – should be already installed, but need activate it and get the API key – easy to do
- WordPress Database Backup – If you lose it, you can restore it – need to go to google to see how to use it
- WP SecrutiyScan – If any hackers get into your website, you will be notified of any changes
