It was about 2 years ago. I was online on Google to be specific and I was doing searches for mlm leads, network marketing leads, how to generate leads online, etc…In other words, I was trying to find how people where generating leads on the internet an I come across Jonathan Budd and the 7 Figure Networker.

You see, I started in mlm 5 years ago. I was told to purchase leads (which was very expensive at the time) and cold call them. At the time, I was working fulltime and had 3 kids under the age of 4. So, at nights and on my days off from work, I would spend calling these leads only to get answering machines. I remember how frustrating it was to spend 7 hours, leaving 40 voicemails, and speaking to a total of 5 people that certainly didn’t want to talk to me, all in 1 day. I remember becoming so depressed because I had spend hours upon hours and got nothing accomplished.

So, I made a decision to figure out how the heck people were find good quality prospects to speak with using the internet. I knew that what I was doing wasn’t working. I was tired of spending a lot of time and money (both I didn’t have much of) calling people that didn’t want to be called. I wanted to build not only a business, but a big business. Since I wasn’t getting what I need from my immediate team, I had to go out on my own and find a solution to my problem.

So, on to Google I went. I came across a guy named Jonathan Budd. He was a kid, but he had created millions online, so I figured I should probably listen to what he had to say.

You know what? I was sold. He was not only talking about generating low cost or free leads, but these leads that I was generating might do a couple things: 1). They might even call me (I definitely Liked that!) 2). I could earn a small commission from them even if they didn’t join my business (this is called the funded proposal. 3). I might even sponsor a few people (Isn’t this what we need to do to build a big business?)

I decided to purchased his social media course, which taught me how to brand myself on Twitter, Facebook, and most importantly, the absolutely crucial element, which is to have your very own blog.

Did you know that I had automatic signups just for the simple fact that I have a blog? The reason is that it is a way for people to get to know you, without having to pick up the phone. If you build relationships with people, you build trust. When you build the trust, then people will buy.

Anyway…about Jonathan Budd. I did go on and purchase many of his courses and if the courses makes sense to you, I highly recommend any product that he is selling, but he was the one that really molded me into the leader that I am today. Teaching me that building a mlm business on the internet is not about just selling, it is about building relationships and really supporting your team.

I was a member of his 7 Figure Networker System and I have to be honest and say that it is a great system, but I choose to leave his system for one that is similar. It is called My Lead System Pro. Now, it has been over a year since I have been involved with Jonathan’s system so things might have changed, but for me, it was easier to generate leads using MLSP. They have awesome training webinars every Wednesday night and they have an amazing community and they recognize their leaders.
 
As of now, I am one of the top 20 affiliates in the system and in August alone, I generated 585 leads and sponsored 19 people into my online business.
