Scentura Creations (hyperlink to http://www.scenturacreations.com), founded in 1975 by Larry Hahn, is located in Atlanta, GA. They
are a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality rendition fragrances, trademarked under the name Observe’ L’Essence. Their
customer base is largely made up of Independent Business Owners worldwide who retail the product in their respective local
markets.
Not all, but most of Scentura Creations customers use a Direct Selling (hyperlink to http://www.directselling411.com) strategy, otherwise
known as face-to-face selling, to distribute the product locally. If you’ve ever tried this sales strategy, you might agree that, while
probably not the most glamorous method, it is a very consistent method. It has been used by businesses for hundreds of years, and
currently the Direct Selling industry produces annual sales of roughly $30 billion. At any given time, over 15 million people are
involved in direct selling.
What I’ve found to be very unique about Scentura Creations is that Independent Distributors aren’t required to pay Scentura for the
merchandise upfront. This is interesting because it allows the Reseller access to inventory without a significant capital outlay,
which, for any product-based business, is normally the highest start-up cost.
Essentially, Scentura Creations has removed one of the biggest barriers of entry, and gives an individual that lacks major financial backing a
chance to be a business owner.

“The more people you help become successful, the more successful you’ll become.” This seems to be the foundation for Scentura’s
concept, and ultimately it’s lasting success over the past 36 years.

NEGATIVE PRESS On Scentura Creations
Scentura Creations has been the target of continued negative online press, mostly on complaint boards such as Scam.com,
RipOffReport.com, and PissedConsumer.com among others. I’ve read many of these complaints, and it’s quite clear that most are
aimed at the individual reseller, not Scentura itself. This is an important distinction because, while they certainly discourage any
unethical business tactics, Scentura ultimately does not dictate the business practices of independent resellers.
Furthermore, it’s important to understand that these complaint forums do not regulate the information posted by its users, they do
nothing to research the accuracy or validity of user complaints, and they make it extremely difficult to have false or exaggerated
claims removed from their forum.
I would encourage you to trust other, more reputable sources for information on Scentura’s business track record, such as the Better
Business Bureau. In fact, you’ll find they currently hold an A+ rating with the BBB.

CONCLUSION On Scentura Creations
Having researched Scentura Creations with the purpose of separating facts from misconceptions, inaccuracies and exaggerations, I
feel there is plenty of factual support that Scentura Creations provides a viable opportunity. It’s probably not for everyone, but for
those willing to learn Direct Sales, it seems to be a great chance to open the doors to your own business with a quality product and
a proven business model.
One further note worth highlighting is that I was unable to find a single instance where Scentura itself, nor any of the Independent
Resellers have required a sign-up fee, monthly fee, or any kind of monetary investment whatsoever.
